Product Introduction

Skywind Composites High Strength FRP Equipment Platform Grating is engineered for industrial platforms, maintenance walkways, elevated access areas, and flooring systems requiring high structural performance, corrosion resistance, slip resistance, and low maintenance.
Manufactured from fiberglass-reinforced polymer (FRP) with continuous E-glass fiber reinforcement and a corrosion-resistant resin system, it provides a lightweight alternative to conventional steel grating with exceptional resistance to moisture, chemicals, saltwater, and harsh industrial environments.

Why Choose FRP Equipment Platform Grating?

High Structural Strength

Engineered to support personnel, tools, equipment, and operational loads. Thickness and structural configuration can be selected according to design load, support spacing, and allowable deflection requirements.

Superior Corrosion Resistance

FRP does not rust and provides excellent resistance to moisture, wastewater, chemicals, saltwater, acids, alkalis, and outdoor weathering, reducing maintenance requirements compared with carbon steel.

Lightweight, Slip-Resistant & Non-Conductive

The high strength-to-weight ratio makes FRP grating easier to transport, handle, cut, and install. Concave, molded anti-slip, or gritted surfaces are available for wet and oily environments, while the non-metallic structure provides electrical non-conductivity.

Low Maintenance & Long Service Life

FRP grating requires no rust removal or regular repainting and maintains reliable performance in demanding industrial environments, helping reduce long-term maintenance and replacement costs.

Key Industry Applications

Chemical Processing Plants: Platforms, walkways, and access flooring around pumps, valves, storage tanks, and pipe networks where exposure to aggressive acids, alkalis, and chemical fumes is constant.

Wastewater Treatment Facilities: Elevated walkways, clarifier access areas, and filter platforms that suffer from high moisture and corrosive effluent exposure.

Power Plants & Electrical Facilities: Service walkways, cable access areas, and auxiliary platforms benefiting from non-conductive electrical isolation properties.

Oil, Gas & Offshore Facilities: Process access platforms, tank access areas, and marine service walkways requiring durable resistance to saltwater, high humidity, and weathering.

FAQ

Q: Can FRP grating be used for heavy equipment platforms?

A: Yes. However, selection must be based on the design load, support span, and allowable deflection criteria rather than thickness alone. Our engineering team can evaluate your platform drawings to recommend the correct configuration.

Q: Is FRP grating electrically conductive?

A: No. FRP is non-metallic and electrically non-conductive, offering safe insulation for electrical rooms, substations, and power utility environments.

Q: Can panels be cut to custom shapes or dimensions prior to shipment?

A: Yes. We provide complete pre-fabrication services, including custom panel sizing, circular cut-outs, notches, pipe penetrations, and stair treads to minimize on-site installation work.
